Poppin’ bottles in D.C.: Mystics win 2019 WNBA Championship

That was the unofficial motto of the Washington Msytics’ championship journey, and it was the rally cry of the crowd as the Mystics pulled away from the Connecticut Sun at the end of the WNBA Finals.

After losing in the finals to the Seattle Storm last year, the team was extra pumped to run it back and get the W this time around.

Elena Delle Donne fought through multiple injuries including not one but THREE herniated disks in her back. Emma Meesseman finally found her groove and was awarded the Finals MVP award.
